Good Chilly Morning!!! Friday finally lol I didn't want to get up this morning because it's 62* in our house this morning brrrr. 45* outside so of course I have a fire in the fireplace. Even if it gets warm today it's just too chilly to be up and doing anything without fire. Today's agenda is to work on that teal and brown quilt to see if I can get the top put together I haven't worked on the Ester quilt hardly at all I love the colors but Christmas is only 2 months away and I still have a couple of other projects that I want to do for gifts. Have you been on Pintrest lately? There are some really talented people on there with some of the most amazing projects for the Holidays. I have so many cute things to make for the dinner table to decorations. I asked Conni my baby sister to bring her youngest son over to make some fall things I found on there. Steven is just the sweetest boy to do things with.
We had the sad job of putting one of Anna's goats down this week. Baby was way past her prime and went into kidney failure she was a well loved animal and lived a very long pampered life. We may go look at a couple of young goats for Anna today.
Yesterday my niece's father-in-law went to meet Jesus. Bobby fought the good fight and battled kidney failure with dialysis. Bobby had a large loving family and will be soarly missed. Rest in the arms of Jesus. Bobby.
The fire is having a hard time getting started this morning I think this afternoon I'm going to gather some kindling to start the fires with. I don't like fighting to keep them going or trouble starting them. I;m sure I'm not the only one lol but dog gone its frustrating,
I have a personal daily devotion book called Jesus calling from Sarah Young that is awesome. I am going to share today's devotion. My sister Conni went with me to the doctor yesterday and our conversation fell right in line with today's content how amazing is God? He answers our questions if we just look.. I hope you have a magnificent day do one thing for someone that you would not normally do today. Try to only say positive things even when your driving and get cutoff just try it one day. It sure does open your eyes to how many negative things that we tend to say and not even realize it.
Come to Me with your defenses down, ready to be blessed and filled with My Presence. Relax, and feel the relief of being totally open and authentic with Me. You have nothing to hide and nothing to disclose, because I know everything about you already. You can have no other relationship like this one. Take time to savor its richness, basking in My golden light.
One of the worst consequences of the Fall is the elaborate barriers people erect between themselves and others. Facades abound in the world, even in My body, the church. Sometimes, church is the last place where people feel free to be themselves. They cover up with Sunday clothes and Sunday smiles. They feel relief when they leave because of the strain of false fellowship. The best antidote to this artificial atmosphere is practicing My Presence at church. Let your primary focus be communing with Me, worshipping Me, glorifying Me. Then you will be able to smile at others with My Joy and love them with My Love.
1 John 1;5-7: Exodus 33:14 Philippians 4:8-9
Today's tip: When cleaning your house make sure to clean from top to bottom. Cleaning down keeps you from having to clean over and over. Start with what is highest (ceiling fans, curtain tops etc.) then move on down.

Hi Again: I have been away for a little while I see that I haven't been missed lol. I know my sisters missed me and I know Nancy has missed reading my blogs so here I am again.
I have been doing a little traveling this past week and I have some photos to share. I went to San Antonio Texas over last weekend to spend it with my Granddaughter Abbie she turned 7 on the 13th and so I traveled 615 miles to be with her and her dad. Chet (my son) had a birthday in September so I took him and his family to dinner on Friday night to one of the biggest Golden Corrals that I have ever been too. He chose Golden Corral because of the great food that this particular one has. He was right it was great. I had a wonderful spinach salad and steak and shrimp for dinner. We got up Saturday and drove to Corpus Christi to go to the beach. We rode the ferry boat to San Padro Island and played in the water on a beautiful beach there. Abbie had the bad fortune of being stung by a jellyfish and had a melt down she just knew she was going to die from it lol. The top photo was taken just before /Abbie got stung the 2nd is the jellyfish that stung her, and the third is on the ferry boat at San Pedro Island we had a great time. Then we went to Chuckie /cheeses had dinner then onto Starbucks for a frappacino then back to San Antonio. Abbie said she had the best birthday ever and that's all that matters. I got home on Sunday evening and we left out on Tuesday morning for Baton Rouge Louisiana to pick up a travel trailer. We drove from 6am till 1:20am 19 hours in one day don't think I want to do that again lol.

These are from the trip to Louisiana the first is the sunrise around Pine Bluff, Arkansas the 2nd is the Mississipi Bridge and the thrid hmmm well it's a sign I saw at a restraunt in Baton Rouge I thought the name of the restraunt was interesting lol. Anyhow tomrrow I'm going to Little Rock for a doctors appointment so a little more traveling lol. So to say the least I haven't been doing much sewing this week but I did manage to finish all the blocks for my daughter in laws quilt and start attatching them together. Maybe Friday I can sew some more. Anyhow I'm going to leave you with this thought for the day and go start dinner.
Can we control the Government? Are we really the one's in charge or do they just let us think that we are? Are we allowing them to tell us who to vote for? /These are just a few things that I have been pondering today since I watched the debate from last night just wonder what would happen if we said enough is enough and you all go to minuim wage and try to make it like the rest of us have to do. We would then see change and it would be like lightening fast.

Happy Fall Thursday!! I am finally up and going again thank God!! and just in the nick of time too. I had a cake due today for a retirement party and it has taken me the entire morning to finish it. It sounds like I am slow but it is a full sheet cake which is equivalent to 6 cake mixes. It also has almost 8 pounds of icing on it lol.. I make all of my icing by a recipe that I came up with it's not sickening sweet but oh so good.
After I deliver this cake I'm going to try and finish block 6 and block 12 of the teal and chocolate cake. I finally finished block 10 and didn't ever think I was going to finish it lol. I chose to change the last block from a whirling start to a block I found on Craftsy.com in there block of the month videos it's called a friendship circle but it looks like a star to me and I am only following my own instinct on this quilt just to see how I do
I can't believe how pretty the blocks are for this quilt though I stop and look at them and think "Did I really do that?" Again I sure wish someone would have taught me this years ago.
Today I haven't done much other than the cake so tomorrow I'll get back to my "routine" and clean my house and sewing. As for today I do think I'm done lol. I'm tired and sitting sure does feel good.
1Peter 3:8-9 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another: love as brothers, be tenderhearted be courteous: not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

Cupcakes
Happy Tuesday!!! Today I got the honor of making cupcakes with my sister Patti for her husbands 70th Birthday.. We make Despicable Me cupcakes heres a photo lol They were fun to make. I can't wait to hear how he likes them.
I've been working on my teal and chocolate quilt and I just can't seem to get through this darn block lol I have been down and not being able to sew has been hard to keep up the momentum lol. I only have this block and 2 more until I have enough to start putting the top together I have the back fabric already so I'll be ready to put it together and get it quilted. My sisters and I have been looking for a quilting machine (long arm) and frame. I know God will show us the perfect one for us to buy. I can't wait I know it will be such a blessing to be able to quilt our own quilts!!!!! I have several that I am putting together and I could probably pay for a machine with the cost of having them quilted lol.
I have another cake order for Thursday to do tomorrow it's a full sheet cake with a golf theme I'll post a photo when I finish it.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Best Sisters in the World
Yesterday my sister Nancy came over and brought me lunch and offered to clean my house. I decline figuring i will get to it when I'm back on my feet. Today I get a call from Patti and her and Anna are on their way over bringing my a glass of tea and lunch and they cleaned my house~!!!! How much better sisters could a girl have? None. I'm so blessed to have them.
As you can probably figure out I'm still down with my back. Today it's better but still not great but I'm making progess and now my house is clean lol. I can get back to sewing hopefully tomorrow.
I dont have much else to blog about today I did make the Sausage and Zucchinni casserole that I posted the recipe for a few days back for lunch (I had to do something for my sisters) oh and by the way Nancy pointed out to me that I forgot to put what kind of sausage I use for the recipe so I will correct it but I use Chicken mozzrella and garlic (5 links) for the recipe. Wonderful recipe so glad I ran across it on Pintrest. I am all about trying some new things to eat you never know you may find a new favorite for your family. This photo is of my daughter Brandie, my Granddaughters Abbie and Kayla, my Joe and me.
1 Timothy 1:5-8 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having straying, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm. But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully
