Good Rainy Day Friday!!!!  So glad for the rain and so thankful that we didn't get the bad stuff we were slotted for.  Today I will be finishing up the baby blanket for our new neice Holly Brielle who weighed 7lbs.11Oz. 19 1/2 inches long Congrats to Cody and Syndey. 

So my love for sewing grows daily and I only can wish that I had a quilting machine and a new embroidery machine lol and I could go on and on with the things I wish for so if anyone wants to fullfill my wishes........................lol.

My sister Nancy just got a embroidery machine she is a newby to the art of sewing but she's so excited and she is one of those folks that when she starts something she get everything she needs to do a project gotta love her for that anyhow she's so excited so tomorrow I think I'm going to go over and see if I can help her start using it.  Her thinking is "I won't be using it that much" lolololol she will be become addicted to it just as I did.!!!!  

TODAY'S TIP:  IF YOU HAVE GREASE SPOTS ON YOUR CONCRETE IT CAN BE CLEANED OFF WITH OVEN CLEANER!!!  SPRAY IT ON LET IT SIT FOR 5 MINUTES AND THEN RINSE OFF SPOT WILL BE GONE.

Hello Folks I have been busy working on a quilt for a new arrival!!!!!!  My step-nephew is awaiting the arrival of his first baby. His wife is pushing as I write!!!!  We are going to be welcoming to our family a little baby Girl Holly.  Payers and blessing to this new family. 

My Son-in-law the love of my daughters life is having a difficult time recovering from a surgery (without getting into to much detail) I ask for prayers for him.  He is such an amazing man a Sargent in the Army has served a term in the Marines in Iraq and a term in the Army in Afganistan my heart is aching for my daughter and her husband. 

Today I am lost as a goose and not much sewing is going on but I am always amazed and the Grace of God and how wonderful God is and answers prayers and touches us just as we need Him to do.  "Be still and Know that I am God."  Comes to my mind so I am going to be still and know God is in control. 

Folks keep God first and foremost.  Stress and worry is not from God we are not to worry about tomorrows problems keep your focus on today and stay in prayer.

Good Sunday Morning!!!  Today starts another day in my life lol.  I woke up with such a joy in my heart this morning I'm almost to happy to sit still.  My sister Conni is coming over today with a friend I am making my sister's First Grandchild a baby quilt I started it last night and got 2 of the squares done this morning.  Im making another Story-time star quilt for her just a 36x36 this time.  Her friend is going to stay and sew with me while Conni works (what a shame she can't stay and sew) I am going to try my hand at teaching her to quilt (wish me luck). 

Today I am also going to try my hand at a new recipe Glazed Caramel Apple Bread I found the recipe on pintrest so if it turns out good I'll post it'

TODAY'S TIP;  When baking a cake that you want to stack make sure to always allow time to freeze the cake first.  This allows the cake to firm up so that it won't fall apart on you when your icing it.  (Allow cake to unfreeze before starting to ice the cake)

Hey you all my name is Debi and I am the 5th of 6 siblings and of the 6 5 are girls!!!! lol we are all living in the same city which is such a blessing to us and we are close did I say we are close? lol  We hope that you enjoy this blog site as we set it up.  We are hoping to share with you different ideas and thoughts ranging from simple sewing projects to complex quilts.  We also have a variety of other talents that we will be sharing also.  So as we launch this blog I will share a quilt photo in my personal photo this quilt is called "Story-Time Star"  by Bonnie K. TODAYS TIP;  if you are a avid quilter you may already know this but I'm not and I tend to lean toward helping the beginners.  I was making binding for my first quilt and had this enormous length of unmanagable fabric so I had a thread tube (serger thread tube) and got the idea to roll the binding around the tube what an amazing way to store your binding until your ready to use it.  (I happen to be one of those folks that saves everything because you may need it lol.)
